Prescott College, founded in 1966 is a
liberal arts institution offering undergraduate, graduate and
certificate programs in a variety of disciplines. Prescott College offers Resident degree programs, Limited Residency Bachelor of Arts programs, Limited Residency Bachelors programs and more. Interdisplinary fields are offered in numerous areas such as human Ecology, Abstract Art, Wilderness leadership, Environmental
education and interpretation and more.
Prescott College's educational philosophy is "learning by doing." Many of the classes at Prescott take place outside the classroom in the field. Prescott College is located in the scenic city of Prescott in
Arizona. The campus includes numerous state-of-the-art facilities and much more accessible to students. Among them are the Prescott Library, which offers a diverse range of reference collections, electronic databases and e-journals. Other state-of-the-art facilities include the Crossroads Center and the Tucson Center. The Crossroads Center features a 'green roof garden' and more.
Students can take advantage of a diverse range of both on and off campus activities at the Prescott College. There are many student clubs and organizations on campus as well as a multitude of research opportunities. Some organizations include, the
Peace and Justice Center, the Kenya Project, the Ultimate Frisbee Club and many others. Prescott College also offers students with the unique opportunity to study at the Kino Bay Center in Mexico, to participate in the Wilderness Orientation and more.
Not only are there numerous on campus activities, but a plethora of off campus recreational, cultural and historical attractions. Prescott offers numerous ethnic restaurants, various museums, unique saloons and others. Attractions include the Phippen Art Museum, The Sharlot Hall Museum and Prescott
fine arts Association. Also within close proximity is the nationally renowned Grand Canyon.
