Professional culinary institute is centrally located in Campbell, California, in the San Francisco Bay Area. The state-of- the-art facility was designed by chefs for chefs, and has classroom and showroom-style kitchens with new cutting-edge equipment. Professional Culinary Institute prepares students for exciting and rewarding careers in a multitude of areas in the culinary industry.

Professional Culinary Institute's programs include Culinary Arts, baking and pastry arts, a certified sommelier program, and a hospitality management associate program. The culinary arts, baking and pastry arts, and hospitality management programs also include paid externships, which provide students with valuable professional experiences. Programs can be completed in 10 weeks, in little as eight months, or a year, depending on the areas of study students select.

  • Professional Culinary Institute has an Artisense method of culinary instruction. This method is inspired by the European apprenticeship training system of exploration, demonstration, and education.


  • The Professional Culinary campus consists of kitchens, kitchen demonstration theaters with state-of-the-art appliances and equipment, a student library/resource center with computer terminals, wireless Internet access and wide range of reference materials, and, in March 2007, PCI opened a wine cellar classroom.


  • Professional Culinary Institute offers furnished and unfurnished housing for its students within walking distance from the campus. The housing facilities boast resort-style amenities including swimming pools, whirlpool SPA, cooking facilities and outdoor grills, fitness center, tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, wireless Internet, and additional services such as massage therapy, a tennis pro, and maid service. There is also a shuttle available for transporting students to and from the campus.

Through the student portal, PCI students have access to job opportunities posted for graduates as well as attending students who would like to work in the industry before graduating.   • Professional Culinary Institute provides a weekend curriculum for the amateur chef. PCI can also custom design classes for groups of up to 15 people.
