The Professional fitness Institute (PFI), headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada, prepares students for rewarding careers as certified personal trainers. Graduates of the Professional Fitness Institute have the hands-on skills and personal knowledge that they need to be successful trainers, in addition to being able to improve their own quality of life and health. The curriculum at Professional Fitness Institute covers all aspects of fitness, health and exercise. All PFI students also participate in an intensive, one-week boot camp in Las Vegas. At the boot camp, Professional Fitness Institute students train with professional bodybuilders and athletes such as Jay Cutler (Professional Fitness Institute spokesman and a former Mr. Olympia), Beth Horn, Jen Hendershott and Tommy Boyer-Kendrick. The boot camp features in-depth, hands-on instruction in personal fitness techniques. Participants also receive skills and performance assessments, first aid and CPR training, and progression instruction. The Professional Fitness Institute boot camp facility has a partnership with Gold's Gym, meaning that students have access to state-of-the-art fitness and training equipment during their stay. The class structure at PFI boot camp is integrated, taking advantage of both fitness labs and classroom space.
