At the Professional Institute of Beauty, future cosmetologists learn about all aspects of the beauty industry, from hair styling to manicuring. At this private, vocational school, which was founded more than 20 years ago, students receive high-quality training from professional instructors that prepares them for exciting, entry-level careers as stylists, salon managers, make-up artists and more.

Professional Institute of Beauty offers several programs of study: Cosmetology, manicuring and teacher training. The cosmetologist courses takes 1,800 hours to complete, while the manicuring and teaching training programs require 400 and 600 hours, respectively. The curriculum at the Professional Institute of Beauty includes both theoretical and practical study. Students will learn about the art and science of cosmetology, and also receive information about business concepts, shop management and how to achieve personal success in the beauty industry. Classes at the Professional Institute of Beauty are held Tuesday through Saturday. A variety of courses schedules are offered to meet the needs of individual students, who can attend class for three and a half, six or eight hours a day. high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in cosmetology may be able to enroll in evening classes.

All classes at the Professional Institute of Beauty are held in the school's 7,200-square-foot facility, which can accommodate 150 students at one time. Students get hands-on practice in the school's simulated salon environment, which features up-to-date equipment and supplies. Other facilities include a student lounge. Once they finish their studies, the Professional Institute of Beauty will assist students in finding employment, and job opportunities are posted on the school's website. Financial aid such as Pell Grants and students loans may be available to qualified students, and PIB also offers an installment payment plan. The Professional Institute of Beauty is accredited by the National Accreditation Commission of cosmetology Arts and Sciences (NACCAS). Graduates of the Professional Institute of Beauty are prepared to pass California State Barbering and Cosmetology licensing exams.
