A comprehensive two-year institution of higher learning, Pulaski
Technical College began as the Little Rock Vocational School in 1945. Although it didn't gain its current name until 1991, Pulaski Technical College has spent the last few decades dedicated to providing students with the technical and vocational programs they need to get their careers started.
Today, this Arkansas
community college offers a variety of courses that range in both subject area and education-level. Over 50 different programs are available to students, ranging from courses in
Allied Health and the fine arts to classes in education and
business. In addition to certificate programs, Pulaski Technical College also offers associate degree programs that can aide students in entering the workforce or transferring to a traditional four-year college or university for the completion of a bachelor's degree.
Various individual programs within Pulaski Technical College have been accredited by outside organizations. For example, the
Aviation maintenance technology programs, the dental assisting program, and the occupational therapy assistant program have been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration, the Commission on Dental Accreditation of the American Dental Association, and the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education of the American Occupational Therapy Association, respectively.

In addition to a 40-acre main campus, this Arkansas college has seven educational sites and centers throughout the state.
