Since 1993, Chicago's Pyramid Career Institute has been preparing individuals to pursue new careers by offering training in customer service and
business software. The goal of Pyramid is to offer job training to the economically disadvantaged and unemployed individuals who are seeking a career change. Pyramid also offers short-term training programs that help students develop stronger

A number of courses are offered at Pyramid Career Institute including computer-driven customer service, computer technologies for customer service and
business software specialist. Course may take anywhere from 360 to 600 hours to complete. The computer-driven customer service course prepares students for jobs in a variety of industries where customer-service skills are required. The course is designed for those interested in working in a customer-service position, recent
high school graduates, students with limited work experience, workers looking for new careers in a business settings, individuals who need to develop computer skills, and people who need to develop stronger reading, speaking, writing and math skills.
The business software course at Pyramid Career Institute trains students for entry-level clerical, office and administrative assistant jobs, as well as jobs in information processing departments. Pyramid students learn team skills and how to use essential software programs. The course is aimed at individuals who are looking to switch careers, employees who need to improve their computer and word processing skills, and small business owners whose want to computerize their business functions.
