Do you think you have the perfect voice for radio? Radio1 broadcasting school offers short-term training programs for individuals looking to pursue a career in broadcasting. Radio1's seven-week programs cover all aspects of professional radio broadcasting, from interviewing techniques to Music scheduling and news reading.

Radio1 Broadcasting School was established by professionals in the broadcasting field, and classes are taught by program directors and announcers who have years of real-world experience. Class sizes are small, so students can be sure that they will receive individualized attention from their instructors, who also serve as coaches and mentors to students. The curriculum at Radio1 Broadcasting School includes both class time (where students listen to examples of classic radio) and production time. During the production part of the course students learn how to effectively use their voice, how to create and informative and entertaining radio broadcast, and how to produce commercials.

The intensive course of study at Radio1 Broadcasting School means that students here are able to complete their studies and begin a fulfilling career in broadcasting within just a few months. In fact, the last several days of every class session are dedicated to job search techniques, resume writing, creating a demo CD and interview role-playing. Radio1 continues to provide job search assistance to graduates, and alumni are able to access on-campus studios in order to update their demo CD. As a result, more than 90 percent of Radio1 Broadcasting School graduates are able to find employment in their field. While Radio1 Broadcasting School does not offer on-campus housing, it will assist students in finding affordable, temporary housing in the La Crosse area, making an education at the school accessible to students from across the country. Because class sizes at Radio1 Broadcasting School are limited, students are encouraged to apply early. Prospective students are required to complete a short voice test over the phone before enrolling in classes at Radio1 Broadcasting School. Financial assistance in the form of Career Training loans may be available to some students.
