Founded in 1926, Ranger College is a public, Two-Year College serving a five-county area in North Central Texas. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, Ranger College aims to prepare students for success in a diverse society by promoting communication skills, critical thinking, and responsible citizenship.

Students at Ranger College can choose from a range of programs leading to an Associate of Arts, Associate of Science, and Associate of Applied Science. Eligible students can participate in an honors program, which requires enrollment in an Honors Symposium. In addition to on-campus learning, Ranger College offers off-campus programs in vocational nursing and Cosmetology, along with video courses through a distance learning Lab in Comanche.

Ranger College competes for the National junior college Athletic Association in baseball, basketball, golf, rodeo, softball, soccer, and volleyball. Students can also participate in cheer and dance teams, musical ensembles, a debate team, honor societies, and student government.
