Founded in 1973, Rich Mountain community college is a comprehensive Community College that provides residents of the Ouachita Mountain Region with opportunities for education and personal enrichment. Accredited by the North Central Association for Colleges and Schools, RMCC aims to challenge students intellectually and encourage self-discovery.

Rich Mountain Community College offers an Associate of Arts degree for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university, along with Associate of Applied Science programs in the fields of Business and Technology. Students can also pursue an Associate of General Studies, Associate of Applied Science in General Technology, or a range of technical certificates.
