Robeson community college started as an extension site of Fayetteville Technical Institute in 1965. Although the school would go on to gain autonomy, and undergo a couple of name changes in the process, its mission of serving community members with the vocational, technical, college transfer, and continuing education programs that they needed, would never waver.

From its days of serving 20 students at the Barker Ten-Mile Elementary School, to the creation of its current campus and 187,547 square-foot facility, Robeson Community College has grown in leaps and bounds. In fact, today this North Carolina college offers not only diploma programs, but certificate and associate degree programs as well. From subjects such as Cosmetology, basic law enforcement, office systems technology, and culinary technology, to programs in respiratory therapy, welding, emergency medical science, and air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration, Robeson Community College has something to offer nearly anyone.

This North Carolina College also offers a variety of Continuing Education programs that are aimed at helping adult learners to improve their basic skills and/or earn their high school diploma or GED.
