Community College's campuses, Rock Creek offers traditional college programs such as two-year professional-technical degrees and continuing education classes as well as community education, adult basic skills, and pre-college programs for
high school students. Rock Creek is located 12 miles west of downtown Portland in a rolling hill farmland and spacious, open mall. As part of Portland Community College, programs at Rock Creek Campus are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.
Portland Community College offers more than 100 academic programs in courses ranging from traditional offerings such as
business Administration and Criminal Justice to more specialized fields like Culinary Assistant training and Peace & Conflict Studies. Students work towards two-year associate degrees in Arts, Applied Science, General Studies, Science, and
business. Classes are offered on a quarter semesters; fall, winter, spring and summer. Classes are offered days, evenings or weekends.
Rock Creek's land was purchased in 1969 for $584,955 and sits amid 256 acres of farm and wetland, providing an ideal location for PCC's Veterinary Technology, Landscape Technology and Biology programs. The location of the campus also provides an ideal venue for PCC's Diesel Service Technology, Agricultural Mechanics, Auto Collision Repair, Building Construction Technology and Biotechnology programs. Built in 1995, the campus's science-technology building holds state-of-the-art laboratories and classrooms. The campus also has a air hanger so that students in the Aviation Maintenance Technology program can get hands-on experience maintaining airplanes and helicopters.
