The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, located in Terre Haute, Indiana, is a private, four-year, undergraduate college of engineering, science and mathematics. In 2008, for the ninth year running, U.S. News & World Report ranked the Indiana college as the top engineering institute offering either a master's or bachelor's degree as its highest degree. Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology is committed to equipping undergraduates with superlative educations in the fields of engineering, mathematics and science. To this end, the Indiana college is likewise committed to providing substantial levels of individual attention to each of its students.

Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology conducts well over a dozen degree programs. These include focuses in biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, optical and software engineering, as well as applied biology, economics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science and physics. There are over 150 faculty members teaching full-time, hired for both teaching talent and Expertise in their fields. Nearly 100 percent of them hold doctorates. The student-to-teacher ratio is 12-to-1, while the average class size numbers 20 students. The Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology maintains its quality of instruction with a rigorous admissions policy. Of more than 3,000 applicants, less than 500 are chosen for an incoming freshman class.

The Indiana college's campus spans more than 200 acres and is home to over 80 groups and student organizations. These include the robotics team, the drama club, Habitat for Humanity, Engineers Without Borders, and the National Society of Black Engineers. The Indiana college offers NCAA Division III athletics, with more than 20 varsity teams, as well as a thriving intramural program.
