Ross University is a medical college with two advance-degree programs. The Ross University school of medicine has been in operation on the Caribbean island of Dominica for nearly three decades. The Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, having recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, is on the island of St. Kitts. Graduates of both programs at Ross University are eligible to work in all 50 states of the United States, as well as 10 Canadian provinces and Puerto Rico.

It is estimated that by 2020, there will be a 50,000-person shortage of physicians and a need for more than 25,000 veterinarians by 2012. Ross medical school boasts placement of more students into clinical rotation than any medical school in the world. The veterinary school is affiliated with over 20 American Veterinary Medical Association-accredited schools in the United States and currently has more than 2,000 alumni practicing veterinary medicine.

Location is one obvious advantage to attending Ross University. But it is the success of Ross alumni that speak volumes about Ross's quality of education. Significant numbers of graduates have gone on to prestigious positions as chief residents, medical school academic posts, board certified specialists, esteemed researchers and practitioners.
