On this small, Maine-based campus, Roxbury
community college students have their choice of Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree programs as well as professional certificate programs. Degree students have their choice of 25 programs of study that cover a wide spectrum of humanities,
business, and fine arts subjects. Roxbury
Community College also offers pre-professional programs in the areas of
nursing and
engineering.
Students looking to transfer will have a wide array of options after they graduate. Roxbury Community College currently maintains articulation agreements with more than fifteen four-year state colleges and universities. For students going for a professional certificate, the school supports twelve programs in fields such as architectural design, biomanufacturing, and accounting. Roxbury Community College maintains strong programs in computer-related fields. The school currently offers six associate degree and six certificate programs of study in computer-related areas and provides all students on campus with access to high-tech computer labs and facilities.
Those who aren't quite ready for college yet may opt for Roxbury Community College's GED preparation course. Exceptional students may be eligible for the Roxbury Honors Program. Honors Program students receive smaller classes, access to Honors-only courses, field trips, cultural activities, and scholarship opportunities that aren't open to traditional Roxbury students.
All students are encouraged to take part in Roxbury Community College's on campus activities. Roxbury supports 14 student organizations including religious groups, social clubs, and performing arts organizations, eight varsity sports teams, a cheerleading squad, and a student government association. Additionally, the school also provides students with on campus entertainment such as musical, theatrical, and dance performances as well as visiting lecturers and films.
To ensure student success, the school provides no-cost academic advising, financial aid counseling, health services, disability support, support for international students, and access to periodicals from across the globe online. Each year Roxbury Community College hosts a campus-wide career fair, giving students a foot in the door with area companies and provides internship placement services and career counseling.
