Located in Miami, Florida, Saint John Vianney College seminary provides a training ground and an encouraging environment for men pursuing vocations in the Catholic priesthood. Saint John Vianney College seminary is a bilingual institution, conducting its programs in both English and Spanish. Operating under the sponsorship of Miami's Archdiocese, St. John Vianney helps men from a variety of communities and backgrounds to understand their calling. The priestly formation undergone by the students at Saint John Vianney College Seminary is defined by four pillars. These are human formation, spiritual formation, pastoral formation and intellectual formation.

This Miami college seminary is accredited to confer both a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy and a pre-theology certificate. Students who enter Saint John Vianney College Seminary without having previously completed an undergraduate program will pursue the bachelor's degree in philosophy. This baccalaureate track provides a four-year undergraduate education, including math and science requirements, in addition to classes steeped in philosophy and metaphysics. Those priesthood candidates who have already achieved their bachelor's degree and intend to study theology at the graduate level will enroll in the Miami college seminary's pre-theology certificate program, which runs for two years.

Saint John Vianney College Seminary places great value in immersing its priesthood candidates in a life and community of study and worship, and to that end operates as a residential institution. This Miami college seminary shares many characteristics with that of a regular college lifestyle, such as dormitory housing and opportunities for bonding through recreation and leisure. Naturally, the seminary also holds daily Mass services, as well as daily congregation for the Liturgy of the Hours. Rosary prayer in common is a weekly practice, as is a shared Holy Hour. To instill in its seminarians a capacity and love for regular service, St. John Vianney also designates every student for a particular house assignment. Lists for work and chores are posted on a weekly basis. After sufficient experience and training, seminarians will also receive assignments to serve areas outside the confines of the seminary.
