Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) is the country's oldest Catholic women's college based in the liberal arts. Located in Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Indiana, the on-campus undergraduate program continues SMWC's proud tradition of providing higher education for women. Additionally, Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods College extends its distance education programs on a coeducational basis.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College conducts over 50 majors. On-campus undergraduates enjoy a supportive, rigorous and enthusiastic academic community within a traditional women's college environment. The Indiana college's distance education programs are known collectively as the Woods External Degree (WED) program. The WED program enables students living all over the country to complete their educations or advance their careers at a flexible pace that suits their schedules. Nearly 70 percent of this Indiana college's faculty members hold terminal degrees. The student-to-faculty ratio is 12-to-1, providing plenty of opportunities for interactive education. About 90 percent of students are provided with some form of financial assistance. Committed to affordable education, Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College has recently teamed up with Ivy Tech Community College. Graduates of Ivy Tech are now eligible for grants to continue or finish their education at SMWC.

Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College's 67-acre campus offers a pleasant, rural environment, which includes a lake, a trail, and beautiful oak trees. This Indiana college is part of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, operating soccer, softball and basketball teams. SMWC also boasts an equestrian team and is a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
