Saint Mary's University of Minnesota, founded in 1912, is a multi-campus institution dedicated to advancing the educational and career goals of today's students. Bishop Patrick R. Heffron founded the private, Catholic school, which has been administered by the De La Salle Christian Brothers since 1933.

Saint Mary's University is a strong part of the international Lasallian network, a group of educational institutions dedicated to quality student-centered education in the Catholic tradition.
