Founded in 1888 by Dr. James Solomon Russell, Saint Paul's College is a private, four-year, liberal arts, co-educational college in Lawrenceville, Virginia. Although small in number, with only 600 students, this Historically Black College has a friendly campus community and a nurturing learning atmosphere. Saint Paul's College boasts an environment of integrity, objectivity, scholarship and responsible citizenship.

Saint Paul's College offers two four-year degree programs: Bachelor of Arts and bachelor of science. Students have a variety of majors to choose from, including criminal justice, political science, religious studies, sociology, biology, computer science, mathematics and business administration.

Unique to Saint Paul's College is its Single Parent Support System (SPSS). Established in 1987, SPSS helps single parents, who have one or two children (between the ages of two months and nine years old), to attend college full-time. An important part of this program is its faculty mentoring system, which helps participants choose a major. SPSS also provides helpful seminars that focus on academic success, career planning and parenting. Child care is also available to participants of this program.

Over 90 percent of the students at this historically black college are granted financial assistance. This includes grants, scholarships, loans and work study.
