The Salon Professional Academy in Iowa City is part of a nationwide chain of Redken 5th Avenue-affiliated Cosmetology schools. With certified instructors approved by the artistic staff of Redken 5th Avenue, students are trained using Redken's professional like of products and tools.

The Salon Professional Academy has a streamlined curriculum--training students in cosmetology, esthetics and nail technician. The cosmetology course is held over 15 months, the esthetics course is held over 7 months and the Nail Technology course is held over 6 months. Hands-on experience is a required part of the program as SPA students apply their new skills, under the guidance of an instructor, on real customers. Classes are beginning all the time and financial aid is available to qualified enrollees.
