The San Francisco School of Digital filmmaking gives aspiring screenwriters, film makers, and actors the tools to begin a career in the industry. The school's curriculum is project-based, allowing students to develop hands-on skills, while giving life to their creative ideas.

San Francisco School of Digital Filmmaking offers a digital filmmaking program and workshop, film Acting classes, and screenwriting workshops. The digital filmmaking program is a one-year intensive, hands-on program preparing students for a career in the motion picture industry. The courses are taught by an award winning staff and students get the opportunity to create five short movies. Students also become part of a crew of professionals on a feature-length motion picture. The digital filmmaking workshops are five- or six-week hands-on classes that introduce students to filmmaking. In each workshop, students write, produce, direct and edit their own short films and they serve as crew members on their classmates' projects. SFSDF offers a filmmaking workshops in the fall, winter and summer filmmaking workshops.

Film acting classes are offered in a series and teach students to act for the camera, maximize their skills, and work with filmmakers in a professional environment. Classes are offered in eight-week cycles. SFSDF classes include acting essentials, film acting, dynamic audition skills, and the business of acting. There are a variety of screenwriting workshops, including an intensive 10-week course in the art of screenwriting, taught by award winning writer/actor James Savoca.
