For more than 40 years, Sauk Valley
community college has been dedicated to offering its students a wide array of career and educational opportunities. Located on a 144-acre campus in Dixon, Illinois, this comprehensive two-year institution of higher learning boasted nearly 6,000 students during the 2005-06 school year.
While students who wish to train to enter the workforce will appreciated the
Illinois College's 19 different career programs, students who aspire to transfer into a traditional bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university will be able to choose from amongst 34 different transfer degree programs. From courses in accounting, economics, biology, physics, and criminal justice, to classes in political science, mechanical design, manufacturing technology,
nursing, and radiologic technology, there's a program to match most any student's needs and interests.
