The School of Complementary Therapies was founded in 1995 by Jacqueline Fairbrass, who holds a doctorate in natural heath from the UK and has studied alternative and complementary therapies worldwide since 1980. The school offers programs, courses, and workshops in complementary therapies. All of the school's instructors have been trained by Jacqueline Fairbrass and each instructor continues to practice holistic healing modalities.
The School of Complementary Therapies offers programs in natural health, aromatherapy, Reiki, and energy medicine. The certified natural health practitioner program consists of 600 hours of study in natural
health care and complementary and alternate medicine. The traditional holistic aromatherapy and aromatherapy career programs grant students a traditional holistic aromatherapist certificate upon graduation, and graduates can apply for professional designation as a certified aromatherapy health therapist.
The School of Complementary Therapies offers a Usui Reiki program, which includes courses in first degree Reiki, second degree Reiki, advanced Tibetan Reiki, and a master/teacher apprenticeship program. The Karuna Reiki program includes courses in first and second degree Karuna Reiki and Karuna Reiki Master. The advanced light worker training program allows students to gain
Expertise in energy medicine. The school also offers reflexology training and courses in color therapy.

Non-certificate programs are available to introduce students to complementary therapies. These courses explain buzzwords, introduce basic theories and popular therapies and provide hands-on training in reflexology, Reiki, guided visualization, and aromatherapy.
Non-certificate courses include introduction to reflexology, introduction to reflexology for esthetician's workshop, yoga and meditation, and reflexology refresher days.
The non-certificate programs have been presented to corporate groups, hospital groups, cancer support groups, book clubs and other organizations.
School of Complementary Therapies courses are evaluated by professionals from CAM and traditional health care paths, which include social workers, CAM health consultants, registered nurses, and life coaches. The school also has a research team that keeps the courses and programs up to date.
Correspondence courses are available online for the certified natural health practitioner program as well as for the courses in anatomy and physiology, crystal reflexology, aromatherapy, color therapy, hand reflexology, and nutrition 101.
