The School of
photography was established by Peter Gatt in 1994, offering classes, seminars, and workshops in digital photography. Digital classes for beginner courses teach students how to buy the right digital camera and how to use simple compact cameras and higher end compact cameras. Digital classes for beginners include Canon Digital Rebels, Canon 10D,20D,30D and 40D,
Nikon D40,D40x and D50 users, and other brands of D.S.L.R users, and an
Advanced digital course in D.S.L.R.
Seminars are available in photo enhancement and digital printing. Workshops are available in introduction to portrait photography, outdoors portrait workshop, figure studies, and outdoors figure studies. Student can also participate in field trips that take students out to photograph birds of prey, waterfalls, and a walk in the park. Coaching is available through private one-on-one sessions and group sessions.

School of Photography's sponsors are Booth Photographic Limited, Merkle Camera and Video Foto Source, and Remax. Booth Photographic has donated studio equipment to the school and sponsors the studio workshops.
The School of Photography has held free seminars at Rose Photography studios at 2380 Bloor Street West, near Jane Street. The topic was camera skills with emphasis on learning about shutter speeds and aperture.
Peter Gatt is an award winning photographer as well as the owner and instructor of the School of Photography.
Two-day and four-week courses are available. Four-week courses are held once a week for two hours each, and the two-day classes are three to four hours each day.
