The Schools of Medical Massage is a private, Professional School providing massage therapy training in the state of Ohio through its four locations. Through the Schools of Medical Massage program, students are prepared for licensure as massage therapists and will acquire the skills necessary for a career in massage therapy. Campus locations include Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Lima, Ohio.

The program at the Schools of Medical Massage consists of 754 hours of study in anatomy and physiology, massage, ethics, business law, and clinical. Students are required to complete an approved CPR course and perform a number of one-hour massages in the student massage clinic. Schools of Medical Massage also offers training in medical massage ethics, basic business practices and the different styles of approaching patients.

  • To practice massage therapy in the state of Ohio, you must complete an approved massage therapy educational program from an institution that is approved by the State Medical Board of Ohio. The program must be no less than 750 hours of instruction. Students must also have a CPR certification as well as successfully pass the examination to become a licensed massage therapist by the State Medical Board of Ohio with a score of 75 percent or more.


  • Day and Evening courses are offered at all of the Schools of Medical Massage locations.


  • Cincinnati School of Medical Massage, Dayton School of Medical Massage, and Cleveland School of Medical Massage student clinics offers a one-hour student massage for $33. The Lima School of Medical Massage student clinic offers one-hour student massages for $25. Clinic hours vary by location, appointments are required, and gift certificates are available.
