Scott community college is part of the Eastern Iowa Community College District (EICCD), which strives to provide accessible quality educational programs and services that anticipate and respond to personal and community needs and expectations. These efforts will reflect an active commitment to excellence, to lifelong learning and to cooperation with all segments of the community.

Scott Community College was founded in 1966 and enrolls more than 4,000 students each fall. Its main campus is located on Belmont Road in Bettendorf. It also includes the Kahl Educational Center and Career Assistance Center in downtown Davenport and the Blong Technology Center near Interstate 80 north of Davenport.

Currently, there are upgrades being made at Scott Community College. These include new science and technology labs, updated software and fiber optics. Most of the buildings have or will get wireless capabilities. In addition, the Blong Technology Center, which is part of Scott Community College just off Interstate 80, will be renovated for additional advanced manufacturing programs.
