Sewanee: The University of the South spans 10,000 acres, atop the Cumberland Plateau between the cities of Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee. The university is home to one of the nation's top liberal arts colleges and a seminary of the Episcopal Church. It is also well known as a meeting place for prominent literary figures and hosts the Sewanee Writer's Conference. The school also produces the Sewanee Review and holds the copyrights to Tennessee William's work, which was given to the school by the playwright.
