Located on 337-acre campus that is filled with wooded groves, trails, and streams, Shasta College has been serving members of the community since its opening days in 1950. At that time, only 256 daytime-students were enrolled with the school. Since then, this two-year institution of higher learning has continued its path towards expansion and growth and now touts more than 10,000 students as of the spring semester of 2004.

Whether students are interested in receiving a career certificate or an associate degree, Shasta College has a wide of array of subjects and disciplines to choose. From courses in dental hygiene, fire technology, office administration, veterinary technology, and welding technology, to classes in business administration, music, civil engineering technology, early childhood education, equine science, computer maintenance, and horticulture, there's something for nearly anyone at this comprehensive California Community College.

Students who are unable to attend class on campus also have the option of enrolling in online courses in a variety of subjects including, but not limited to, accounting, administration of justice, computer science, poetry, and hospitality and financial management.
