The Sheffield School is a distance learning professional creative design school located in New York City. Established in 1985 as an Interior Design School, the Sheffield School has expanded its programs to include Feng Shui and wedding and event planning. The Sheffield School is located in the heart of the design capitol of the world in between Grand Central Station and the United Nations, so no matter where the student is, they receive the benefit of professionals in the field.

The Sheffield School has three programs. The interior design program will assist students in developing a designer's eye. Many students taking this course aspire to become professional interior designers, or may want to set up a freelance business of their own. This is the Sheffield School's oldest and most popular program. In addition to the course materials, students will receive a complete drafting kit, custom furniture template, 10-foot steel measuring tape, business set up kit, checklists and questionnaires designed to assist with complex projects, room reference booklet and reference guides.

The wedding and event planning course gives people the skills they need to professionally plan weddings and other large events. In addition to the course materials, students will receive two virtual internship projects, which is overseen by a professional wedding planner, three special supplements to assist with setting up a business.

The Feng Shui interior design program teaches interior design based on the ancient art of Feng Shui, or living in harmony with one's environment. In addition to the course materials, students receive project kits, colored pencils and pen, Feng Shui journal, tools of the trade that includes wind chimes, crystal and mirror and an audio CD holder.

Upon completion of any of the above programs, students will receive a certificate from the Sheffield School.

Prospective students applying to the Sheffield School must have at least a high school diploma or GED. Each student receives comprehensive lessons in textbooks; teacher-on-tape guides; audio analysis of the student's projects and access to a personal advisor.
