Shiatsu Massage School of California
2309 Main Street
Santa Monica, CA 90405
For over two decades, the Shiatsu
Massage School of California has been serving those who wish to gain knowledge of alternative medicines, specifically the practice of shiatsu massage. A type of acupressure, shiatsu is rooted in a traditional massage technique of China and is based on the Chinese principles of the five elements, as well as yin and yang.
Students of the Shiatsu
massage school of California have a number of options when it comes to enrolling in a certified massage program. Ranging in difficulty, these programs prepare students to become a certified shiatsu-anma massage technician (beginner), certified shiatsu-anma massage therapist (intermediae), or a certified shiatsu-anma specialist (advanced). A student who completes these programs -- working their way from technician to specialist status -- earns a certified massage diploma. All together, these programs require approximately 500 hours -- completed in three to nine months -- of study and training.
