With more than 28 years of history to its name, Shore Beauty School offers students courses in barbering, Nail Technology, and Cosmetology and hairstyling that will help them get the skills and credentials they need to land a place in the industry.

Requiring 1,200 hours of course time -- which is scheduled over the course of eight months for students enrolled on a full-time basis -- the cosmetology and hairstyling program covers a variety of techniques and treatments that are practiced in the beauty industry. Students will receive instruction in topics like hair shaping, permanent waving, manicures, pedicures, and hairstyling.

While the barbering program also requires 1,200 hours to complete, the nail technology program at this New Jersey program only takes 300 hours to finish. Shore Beauty School's teacher training program -- which may only be taken by licensed cosmetologists and hairstylists with six months of related job experience.
