Founded in 1965, Simon Frasier University was originally named Instant University. Within 30 months after its opening it was home to 2,500 students. For the next 40 years, Simon Frasier grew to its current size with 25,000 students, 90,000 alumni and 700 tenure-track faculty across its three campuses. Students of Simon Frasier University are offered six schools of learning. Students may enroll in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of
business Administration, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Health Sciences, and the Faculty of Science. Each school of learning offers engaging coursework, majors, minors and advanced learning. Simon Frasier University also offers its students distance education, co-operative education, a continuing studies program and graduate studies. Graduate students
AIM to receive their doctoral or master's degrees through research and critical thinking. Graduate students are also afforded the opportunity to serve as teaching assistants to undergraduate students and within undergraduate programs.
