Sitting Bull College

1341 92nd Street
Fort Yates, ND 58538

Tracing its roots back to 1973, when it was founded as the Standing Rock community college, Sitting Bull College has spent many years serving as a two-year institution of higher learning for community members. Although the North Dakota Community College only had 90 students in attendance when it first opened, this number has since grown to more than 250 students.

As part of its service to its student and community, Sitting Bull College offers both vocational courses and college transfer programs that assist students in the process of transferring credits earned at Sitting Bull College to a traditional bachelor's degree at a four-year college or university. From courses in nursing, Native American studies, and information technology, to classes in agribusiness, business administration, and office technology, Sitting Bull College students have the opportunity to receive the training they need to land the career they want.

In addition, thanks to its accreditation and articulation agreements with both Oglala Lakota College and Sinte Gleska University, this North Dakota Community College is also able to offer bachelor's degree programs in business administration, environmental science, special education, and elementary education, from the comforts of its own Fort Yates campus.
