Utah, the Skin Works School of Advanced Skin Care is a postsecondary institution of learning dedicated to preparing students for careers as estheticians in the beauty industry. Currently, the skincare school has two program options: the basic training course and the advanced training course.
Though the topics and practices taught within the basic and advanced esthetician training programs differ, both programs only require approximately 600 hours of study. In addition, both esthetician training programs are offered on a part-time and full-time basis. While the full-time training programs are offered during the daytime and take about four months to complete, the part-time training options is offered in the evening -- Monday through Thursday, and during the day on Saturday -- and requires about seven and a half months to complete. Both programs culminate in the awarding of a
certificate of Completion.

In order to apply to the Skin Works School of Advanced Skin Care, a prospective student must have either a high school diploma or GED, and be over the age that Utah has prescribed as warranting mandatory high school attendance .
For a Skin Works School of Advanced Skin Care student to graduate the program, s/he must have a GPA of 75 percent or higher, and have a minimum attendance rate of 75 percent.
