Based in Monroe, North Carolina, South Piedmont Community College provides associate degree and professional certificate programs to a wide array of students. The school is currently home to twelve student clubs and organizations including a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honors society for two-year college students. South Piedmont Community College provides free academic advising, financial aid counseling, support services for disabled students, and basic skills courses for adults including GED preparation workshops. To provide economic support for the surrounding community, South Piedmont Community College offers a wide range of personal and professional development programs through the school's Workforce Development and Continuing Education department. Here, students will find personal enrichment courses aimed at older learners, customized training courses for local businesses, human resource development programs, and a small business center designed to support local entrepreneurs.
