Southeastern Bible College is a more than 70-year old private college grounded in the Christian faith located in Birmingham, Alabama. In 1933, at the height of the Great Depression, a Bible instructor named Dr. Harry A. Ironsides told a group of businessmen that an evangelical Bible school was needed to help train future workers.

First founded as the Birmingham School of the Bible, the school first opened for evening classes and in 1940, began offering day classes. The school underwent another name change, and finally went from the Southeastern Bible School to Southeastern Bible College. The school recently moved to its current 22-acre campus in 2004.

The mission statement at Southeastern Bible college says their goal is to produce graduates who are biblically grounded, spiritually mature and culturally relevant.

Southeastern Bible college has three schools: the Department of Biblical Studies, the Department of Education and the Department of Arts and Sciences. Students studying at Southeastern Bible College can earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Bible and Theology, which can be attained through any one of the three schools. The Department of Education also offers a second-degree program in elementary education. Graduate who complete a Bachelor of Art program can also choose to pursue an Association of Christian Schools International Bible specialist certification to teach children K-12.

In addition to the four-year degree programs, students at Southeastern Bible College can earn a one-year diploma in Biblical studies; a two-year associate of art degree in Biblical studies and a degree completion program in Biblical studies.

Students at Southeastern Bible College can choose to live on or off campus. The new campus includes two dorm buildings. The cost of dorm living includes furnished bedrooms, private bathrooms for each room, full kitchen facilities, wireless Internet and laundry facilities.
