Southeastern Community College (SCC) is dedicated to preparing graduates for employment as skilled and productive members of the workforce and for continued academic success in their pursuit of further study. Students enrolled in curriculum courses at SCC can choose one of these options for program completion: the associate degree, the vocational diploma, or the certificate.

Online coursework and distance learning are available at Southeastern community college. The Distance Learning Department of Southeastern Community College was first established in 1999. It has since steadily increased in enrollment and class offerings.

The Dual Enrollment Program at SCC allows students to take college courses while they are still in high school. Courses may be taken during the day or at night as long as those courses do not interfere with the students' regular high school courses. High school students enrolled in Community College courses are exempt from paying tuition for these courses. Upon graduation, Southeastern Community College's graduates boast a 98.5 percent employment rate.

  • The SCC library building opened to the public in 1986. With over 65,000 volumes, 164,279 pieces of microform, 3000 record albums, and 150 current printed subscriptions, the library collection is one of the largest in the North Carolina Community College System.

  • Major campus and facility developments were initiated in December of 2007 and are projected to be completed by May of 2008.

  • The campus is also home to Southeastern Early College High School, a public high school that opened in August 2006.
