Southwestern University is an independent, liberal arts, undergraduate university in Georgetown, Texas. Established in 1840, it offers a variety of liberal arts majors and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The Texas university is comprised of two smaller schools: the Brown College of Arts and Sciences and the Sarofim School of Fine Arts. Southwestern is an undergraduate institute and does not offer any graduate degree programs.

Southwestern University offers a variety of undergraduate liberal arts and science majors, ranging from accounting to religion to kinesiology. The Texas university also offers pre-professional and certificate programs in engineering, education, medicine, law, athletic training and theology.
