Spa College International is a Vermont-based school for professionals who own spas or want to know more about the business of running a spa. Course of study includes: scrub, wrap, mask and treatment enhancements; application technique; product purchase expectations; ingredient and product knowledge and treatment design and rewards. Instructors also assist students in their sales pitches through demonstrations and role-playing.

The training continues in Spa Essentials II in which students learn about the creation and development of standard operating procedures; review of spa policies; intensive hands on training in advanced therapies; selling specialty therapies; creating a spa style; development of marketing; budgeting and client-centric planning.

Other courses include Spa Management, in which students learn: branding, retail and service markers; spa therapy and menu design; project management; interviewing techniques to hire the best people for your team; advertising and marketing in a virtual world; financial management; pricing services; inventory; and operational understanding. The Spa Business Success series has two modems of study - one for spa professionals and one for non-spa professionals. The course of study for professionals includes many of the classes needed for business success. The course of study for non-professionals includes what these students need to make their vision of owning a spa a reality.
