The Space Coast Health Institute is a Professional School in West Melbourne, Florida offering a variety of career programs. The Space Coast Health Institute was founded in 1991 as the Space Coast Massage Institute. The original location was in Indialantic, Florida. The school eventually moved to Melbourne, Florida and with construction of the new facility in West Melbourne, Florida and its expanding programs, the school changed its name when it moved to its facilities in 1998.

The Space Coast Health Institute offers programs in basic massage and hydrotherapy; massage and hydrotherapy; basic facial and make-up specialist; and internships in sports and hospital. The basic massage and hydrotherapy program adheres to requirements set forth by the state of Florida for massage therapists. This basic 500-hour program includes teaching students the basics in anatomy and physiology; CPR, first aid and medical errors; hydrotherapy, sports massage; craniosacral; myofascial; Eastern and Western theory and technique as well as taking a holistic approach to healing. This course is designed for professional who wishes to either own their own business or work in a spa or clinic and business and marketing classes are incorporated into the curriculum.

The massage and hydrotherapy program is 600 clock hours, as required by the state of Florida. Classes for this program include: massage therapy theory and practice; anatomy and physiology; hydrotherapy; Florida massage law; allied modalities; AIDS?HIV education; CPR; ethics; and massage related pathology.

The basic facial and make-up specialist program is 260 hours and students can complete the course of study in 16 weeks. Students who complete the program can apply to become a state licensed make-up specialist and hair removal technician. Students in this program are enrolled in the following courses: anatomy and physiology; structure and function of the skin; skin types/skin tones; facial structures; machines and equipment; facial treatments; waxing; product ingredients; paraffin treatments; body treatments; basic massage movements; marketing and sales; make-up/color analysis; contouring, detailing and articulation; Florida laws; safety, sterilization and sanitation; HIV/AIDS; and ethics.

Students may also participate in a 100-hour sports internship program or a hospital internship program.
