business management; state and local laws; health and sanitation; ethics; client treatment plan; S.O.A.P. charting; student clinic; CPR/First Aid; medical terminology; reimbursement/marketing; advanced aromatherapy; lymph drainage techniques; meridian therapies; oncology massage; medical massage therapies; pharmacology for massage; and medical massage clinic. Students in the clinic portion of the program have the opportunity to perform actual massages, with clinical supervision, on clients.
Prospective students wishing to apply to the St. Charles School of Massage Therapy must be at least 18 years old and have a
high school diploma or GED; submit written essays and two letters of written recommendations; have a valid state issued ID; and have interviewed with a staff member. The day program at the St. Charles School of Massage Therapy begins several times each year in the spring, fall and summer. The evening program is offered in the spring and fall.
Additionally, the St. Charles School of Massage Therapy also offers continuing education classes, which can be taken in the process of maintaining a state license. Classes offered as continuing education include CPR (3.5 hours); hot stone massage (7 hours); and massage cupping (14 hours).
