This year St. Cloud
Technical College celebrates 60 years of providing technical education to the citizens of Central
Minnesota. SCTC was founded in 1948 as a vocational-technical institute. What began with 100 students in 1948, choosing from six career options, has grown to serving over 12,000 students in over 100 different program majors and a variety of continuing education opportunities. Back in 1948, SCTC was part of the local school district. Today, it's part of the Minnesota State College and Universities System.
