St. Joseph's College Seminary in Chicago is the undergraduate seminary program of the Chicago Archdiocese. St. Joseph's offer a curriculum around spiritual formation, apostolic work and academics. It is located on the campus of

Over 200 years ago, Catholics were coming to this country in droves. Seminary education followed a model of six years minor study in seminary and six more in major seminary. Secular education is now a major part of the seminary curriculum. Graduates of St. Joseph's College Seminary are awarded with an undergraduate bachelor's degree.
These days,
St. Joseph College Seminary's education is provided by the Council of Trent. Their philosophy is that a bishop for students to prepare for the ministry should provide seminary education. Presently, St. Joseph Seminary serves as the college seminary of the Archdiocese of Chicago. One of the most recognized Catholic universities, Loyala, invites and includes St. Joseph College Seminary on its campus home. Additionally, the experience to perform priesthood duties is a major part of St. Joseph theoretical process.
