community college- Florissant Valley campus is situated on 108 acres in north St. Louis County. The STLCC campus is nationally recognized for its art, child care, and chemical and advanced manufacturing technology programs which compliment its strong general education curriculum. Career programs in deaf communication studies are offered and the campus has Missouri's only associate degree program in biotechnology.

Community College is the largest community college district in Missouri and one of the largest in the United States. STLCC offers 11 college transfer options and more than 90 career programs, as well as a changing variety of continuing education courses and programs for community members. Associate degrees are available in the areas of art and design,
business, civil and community service,
engineering and technology, health and office professions; plus continuing education, developmental, and
business/industrial training programs. It operates four campuses and three college centers. Programs and courses at St. Louis Community College are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Facilities at Florissant Valley include the Training Center which houses classrooms and lab spaces that can be used for community programs and training sessions, the Emerson Center for Engineering and Manufacturing , the 840-square-foot Contemporary Art Gallery, the Terry M. Fischer Theatre which is home to the Florissant Valley Theatre of the Deaf, and KCFV-FM a radio station that is operated as a hands-on learning lab for the mass communications students. The campus offers an Accelerated Learning Program, Student Ambassadors program, Peer Leader program, Supplemental Instruction program, as well as an Academic Support Center and many clubs and student organizations.

STLCC's degree programs and training programs serve approximately 65,000 students per semester.
Florissant Valley offers intercollegiate competition in soccer, basketball, baseball, and track and field for men, and softball, soccer, volleyball, basketball and track and field for women. The campuses teams have won national championships in men's and women's soccer as well as volleyball.
The campus theater is home to Theatre of the Deaf which has offered more than 30 years of signed performance as well as children's theatre, student and community plays and special events.
