Founded in 1927, St. Petersburg College is a public, coeducational, four-year college with 10 learning sites in Florida. Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, St. Petersburg College was known as St. Petersburg
junior college until 2001 and remains committed to its acclaimed two-year programs. Its mission is to offer enriched learning experiences and promote workforce development.
St. Petersburg College offers more than 10 programs leading to a bachelor's
degree through its colleges of Education, Dental Hygiene,
nursing, Orthodics & Prosthetics, Paralegal Studies, Public Safety,
technology & Management, and Veterinary Technology. In addition, St. Petersburg College offers a variety of
associate's degree programs and more than 60
certificate programs.
St. Petersburg College is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association and competes at the varsity level in basketball, baseball, softball, tennis, and volleyball. Students can also participate in various organizations on campus including student government, academic club, special interest groups, community service, and religious organizations.
