Founded in 1936, St. Thomas More College is a Catholic
liberal arts Undergraduate college, allied with the
University of Saskatchewan. Students receive degrees from University of Saskatchewan. St. Thomas More College teaches about 8,500 students in more than 180 courses, while the University of Saskatchewan is home to more than 20,000 undergraduate and graduate students.
St. Thomas More College offers a unified four-year curriculum. St. Thomas balances the study of classic forms of
Christian theology with liberal learning and challenges students to wrestle with questions of truth, analyzing human nature and history through the lens of foundational Western texts.
St. Thomas More College offers courses in the
humanities―anthropology, English, history, languages and linguistics, philosophy and religious Studies―and the social sciences―archeology, economics, political studies, psychology and sociology. Education students can take special courses, such as Catholic Studies for Teachers. Two interdisciplinary courses are offered, as well.

St. Thomas More College has 25 full-time tenure track faculty, four full-time term faculty and 23 part-time faculty--all of whom belong to the University of Saskatchewan. St. Thomas More faculty has its own union.
During the course of four years, St. Thomas More students learn a basic knowledge of Latin or Greek.
Every year St. Thomas More College distributes more than $130,000 in scholarships and bursaries.
Originally founded as Saint Thomas More Institute in 1981, with classes and lectures taking place in living rooms and hospital halls, St. Thomas began acquiring space on the Merida-Bowie-Lubbock Streets block of Fort Worth in 1985. Facilities are valued at more than $10 million.
Student organizations include the St. Thomas More Student's Union, Newman Centre, Knights of Columbus College Council #10580, Newman Players, Development and Peace, St. Thomas More/Newman Choir, Pre Education Club, Pre Law Club and In Medias Res.
St. Thomas More Library is home to more than 50,000 volumes, including subscriptions to more than 200 periodicals, magazines and newspapers. A head librarian, a library assistant, an archivist and 14 desk assistants are on hand to help students with their research needs.
St. Thomas More College recently announced a $50,000 Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Catholic Studies. Students in the following disciplines are eligible: Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, English, French, History, Philosophy, Political Studies, Psychology, Religious Studies, Sociology and Theology.
