115 South Street
Middletown, NY 10940

The State University of New York at Orange is more than just a two-year community college, it is part of the community, offering non-credit programming and cultural events in addition to its credit programs. Today, it has more than 420,000 people enrolled in its credit and non-credit classes at its Middletown campus, the Newburgh Extension Center and other satellite locations across Orange County.

SUNY Orange was founded in 1950 as the first county-sponsored Community College in the State University of New York system and became the first in the area to offer an associate degree in nursing and studies in electron microscopy. In 1982, it was the first community college to plan and co-sponsor a business institute with local chambers of commerce. Given its focus on the community, SUNY Orange also offers child-care in the form of Kindercollege at its Middletown and Newburgh campuses.

This New York college, accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, offers classes through full- or part-time study in the day, evening or both. SUNY Orange offers three degree programs -- an associate in the arts, associate in science and associate in applied science -- as well as career-oriented technical programs with one-year certificates.
