The Stenotype Institute of Jacksonville has been offering training in courtroom reporting since 1940. The institute instructs students from two Florida campuses--one in Jacksonville, the other in Orlando. Graduates from Stenotype's program can become official court reporters, freelance reporters, cyber-conferencing reporters, convention reporters, corporate reporters, real-time reporters, and television or classroom closed-captionists.

Whether students prefer to study at the Jacksonville or the Orlando campus of Stenotype Institute of Jacksonville, they receive first-rate training. Backed by up-to-date technology, the institute's programs are well-rounded and offer students the resources necessary to be successful in the reporting industry. Each campus offers multiple state-of-the-art classrooms for theory-based learning, mock trials, libraries, and transcription labs. Students also learn Windows applications, CAT applications, CaseCATalyst software and additional translation and transcription software. Being exposed to these resources give students an advantage when it comes to job placement.
