Sterling Health Center is a high quality
Massage School founded in 1991 that teaches the art of
massage therapy through theory and practical experience. The school prepares students for state licensing and national certification through basic and advanced massage courses and offers certifications in neuromuscular therapy and neuromuscular
medical massage.
Students taking the 500-hour basic level 1 massage program qualify to take the Texas State Board licensing exam. Courses for this program include hydrotherapy, health and hygiene,
business and ethics, anatomy and physiology, Swedish massage, pathology, massage techniques, kinesiology, and a 50-hour internship. Advanced courses prepare students for national certification and include the fundamentals of
medical massage in the doctor's office, fundamentals of sports massage, and becoming a better massage therapist. The neuromuscular therapy and neuromuscular medical massage certifications give students the skills for assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and myofascial pain syndromes. Students learn medical massage treatment techniques, such as strain counter strain, postural release, muscle energy techniques, myofascial release, craniosacral therapy and more.

Sterling Health Center's level I program takes five to eight months to complete, depending on full-time or part-time attendance.
Sterling Health Center offers services to the public, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, neuro-muscular therapy, Shiatsu, sports massage, prenatal massage, and reflexology. Patrons of the Sterling Health Center can receive discounted membership pricing by becoming members of the center. Membership is free and there is no penalty for cancellation.
Sterling offers courses to fulfill yearly continuing education requirements by the State of Texas.
