Opened in 1968, Sylvania Campus is one of Portland Community College's three campuses and is the base for the PCC nursing and dental programs as well as college transfer, professional and technical programs, and developmental education. As one of Portland community college's campuses, Sylvania offers traditional college programs such as two-year professional-technical degrees and continuing education classes as well as community education, adult basic skills, and pre-college programs for high school students. As part of Portland Community College, programs at Sylvania Campus are accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities.

Ten minutes away from downtown Portland, the Sylvania Campus is located between Lake Oswego and Tigard with a view of Tualatin Valley, Bull Mountain and the Oregon Coast Range. Built in 1994, the library and performing arts center are the cornerstones of the campus. The library holds the latest in learning resources while the performing arts center includes a fully equipped theater and dance venue. The campus offers a wide-array of resources for student activities including athletic facilities such as a track, swimming pool, state-of-the-art weight room and a large gym for indoor activities.

As part of Portland Community College, the campus offers more than 100 academic programs in courses ranging from traditional offerings such as business Administration and Criminal Justice to more specialized fields like Culinary Assistant training and Peace & Conflict Studies. The Sylvania campus's two-year associate degree programs include machine manufacturing technology, early childhood education, radiology, fitness technology, graphic design, sign language interpreter, computer technologies, automotive technology, drafting machine technology and more. Classes are offered on a quarter semesters; fall, winter, spring and summer. Classes are offered days, evenings or weekends.
