Massage School, founded in 1996, offers a 624-hour massage diploma program and continuing education seminars. Founded by Margie Schaeffer in Blue Ridge Summit, Pennsylvania, Synergy Healing Arts Center and
massage school provides students with a top-notch education and training in massage.
Synergy Healing Arts Center and Massage School's massage program consists of six terms and internship/externship fieldwork. Students learn therapeutic relaxation massage, Swedish massage, passive joint movement, anatomy and physiology, seated massage, professional and ethical practices, body mechanics, bioenergetics, special needs, SOAP notes, hydrotherapy, prenatal massage, infant/children massage, senior massage, sports massage, craniosacral therapy, deep tissue and medical massage, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, meridian massage, lymphatic and sinus massage, emotional release bodywork, aromatherapy and spa treatments. The internship/externship fieldwork includes student clinic, case study, open house and student practicum.
Continuing education seminars are also available in Reiki, CPR and first aid, HIV/communicable disease, ethics and jurisprudence, zero balancing, hot stone massage, fibromyalgia massage, friends and family massage, functional body mechanics for massage therapists, Feldenkrais, and Thai massage.
